Lifestyle disorders are caused due to unhealthy eating practices, lack of exercise, in-take of alcohol, smoking and other drugs. Smart phones and other such gadgets turn children to couch potatoes leading to health hazards as they grow up. Sedentary lifestyle is the major cause for obesity, diabetes, heart diseases, various hormonal imbalances, autoimmune diseases, irritable bowel syndrome, cancer, hypertension and even psychiatric conditions like depression and anxiety.
Ayurveda is not just a system of medicine, it is a way of life. Ayurveda describes about dinacharya and ritucharya i.e daily and seasonal regimens which aim at preventing lifestyle diseases. Lifestyle disorders contribute to a major chunk of patients visiting Ayurvedic OPDs. Problems caused due to changing lifestyles such as obesity, diabetes, heart diseases etc., are treated by our expert doctors at Radha Krishna Hospital successfully.

Diabetes Mellitus
Diabetes mellitus is a very common disease in Indian households. It is of two major types- Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is insulin dependent and has an early onset in the childhood, where pancreas is unable to secrete insulin. Type 2 diabetes on the other hand is mainly due to cellular insulin resistance and is non-insulin dependent that has a late onset. According to Ayurveda Prameha is mainly due to genetic factors and sedentary lifestyle. Most of the times diabetes is asymptomatic detected in routine investigations or detected at the time of a severe condition like ketoacidosis requiring hospitalization. But some of the symptoms include excess urination (especially during nights where the urge to urinate is more than three times), excess thirst, excess hunger, weakness, sudden weight loss etc., Over a period various organs including eyes, nerves, kidneys, and even heart are affected. The patients are at a risk of developing strokes, heart attacks and foot ulcers which require amputation in the long run if the blood sugar is not controlled.
At Radhakrishna Ayurvedic Hospital, we help the patient in managing diabetes, and preventing its complications through internal medications and Panchakarma therapy along with certain lifestyle modifications.
Heart diseases
