Respiratory diseases are one of the most common reasons for hospital visits, especially due to increased pollution, allergens and infections in today’s world. Respiratory diseases affect people of all age groups. The diseases range from a simple common cold to life-threatening conditions like cancer, pneumonia.
According to Ayurveda, respiratory diseases occur due to vitiation of kapha and vatadosha predominantly resulting in pranavahasrotodushti and thereby Kasa, svasa, and rajayakshma. Some of the common respiratory problems include:

  • Recurrent cold, cough (urti)
